This week a draft bill amending a 2011 Act on National Higher Education is scheduled to be debated in the Hungarian Parliament. This bill, if implemented, will significantly undermine the operation of international academic institutions based in Hungary. On 27 June 2016, at the Friday reception held at the Brussels City Hall, Political Science Research and Methods chief editor Vera Troeger presented two awards: Best paper published in PSRM, to Blake E. Garcia and Cameron Wimpy, for “Does Information Lead to Emulation? Spatial Dependence in Anti-Government Violence“; and Best reviewer award, to Eric Neumayer of the London School of Economics and Political Science. Well done both!
